I know I told you guys I would blog about the Grammys(haha i like how I act like I have multiple followers but only have one), but I decided not to because everyone everywhere was bitching about them. Which is sad because I liked the grammys this year. So instead today I will fill you in about the creepy fruit incident. Today I was at the store getting stuff to make spaghetti. I had everything I needed and went to get an onion because I was not sure if I had any (I didn't). Well on my way to the checkout I encountered this strange creature. It was red, wrinkly, and kinda ugly. The tag attached called it cactus fruit. Being the adventures person I am and not knowing what the hell this was BOUGHT THREE. Well while I was waiting for my sauce to cook down I decided to cut one up. As I was cutting I realized it resembled, what id compare it to, a beet with seeds. It was seeping out that neon purple blood you see with beets. I proceeded to try it. NOOOOOOOOT A FAN OF THE CACTUS FRUIT. It was very seedy. and wasn't as sweet as I would have liked. Being the kind person I am I decided to give it another try. I cut up the others and decided to try to candy them. If anything I figured they wood cook down and go good on toast. Well my followers I have invented what I call cactus soup. All that pink blood I saw when I cut up the fruit immediately seeped out with heat. It is now sitting in the stove. I'm hoping that when it cools it may thicken. Knowing my luck it wont.
